Skydiving is a technique of jumping with parachutes, which can be done from an airplane, helicopter or hot air balloon, for recreational purposes, sports or transportation (personnel military or fire ). The parachute is usually done in plain site, skydiving is not limited to anyone, because anyone with the knowledge and control can practice it, except people with heart disease. The parachute is launched from a plane, so that the person can fly with your own body. The equipment needed for skydiving are: gloves, helmet, goggles, double parachute, parachute, altimeter and a thermal suit. This extreme sport is practiced to overcome fear of heights, to give stressed or new experiences.

During the free fall before opening the parachute, the parachute “fly” on a relative basis, but always keeps falling, that divides the activity into two completely different sports: freefall and parachute flight. It is a unconventional sport and some methods are practiced in competition. It consists of free air jumps using the parachute from a height (1700 meters of altitude about 850 meters minimum). Because it is a high- risk, paratroopers must take various security measures. To jump start to do a course and a safety test. Normally there are instructors who are responsible for monitoring the activity and give the details of it, to make it safe and recreational. Another activity that may be considered high risk is betting in sport. Althought not as risky as skydiving it is stil a risk because of the high posability of loosing more money then winnig and because of that care should be taken when betting. When you decide to make a bet, it’s because you have a strong feeling that the team you bet on is going to emerge the winner. That’s why you would have all that courage to risk your money since you strong believe that you win certainly win.

Each skydiver carries two parachutes, one main and one reserve. It is further recommended the use of helmets, goggles, altimeter and automatic opening system emergency. After opening the parachute, the practitioner can control the direction and speed of drivers. But before doing so must follow safety plans given by the instructor on land where they otherwise would be fatal to the security of each practitioner.

The skydiving team is usually composed of a container, a harness, a main parachute, reserve parachute, an automatic trigger (optional), altimeter, helmet and panties (optional). Container is a bag where the parachutes are packed main or emergency reserve, which is attached to the harness, this is a special harness that has no seam, ie a continuous harness, which is sectioned into parts, and goes from one leg to the other through the back, which if broken could sewing when opening the parachute. The automatic trigger is an electronic device that activates the reserve parachute at a certain height if the speed is over the set as a reference in the instrument, this may happen for example if the parachutist in the air to pass out for some reason.

With surfing set to be introduced and practised in U.S. high schools from as early as 2013, it is worth considering its place alongside other established high school sports. While football and basketball have held their importance for generations, sports such as volleyball and swimming have retained status despite being less universally popular both throughout the U.S. and the rest of the world. In essence, a sport is a form of vigorous physical activity that is often undertaken in the name of competition, and there are few more relevant evocations than surfing. It is an individual sporting pursuit that deserves to takes its place alongside swimming, competitive cheer leading and similar high school activities, and is likely to become a regular feature in numerous educational establishments throughout America,s coastal cities.

There is not exact definition of an extreme sport, but if a person engages in one, he or she knows it. The thrill of the competition is so much greater than the simple joy of winning: it is life itself which is the prize of an extreme sport. But while challenging death may be the ultimate goal, disabling injury is not why people want to play. Personal protective equipment is called for in extreme sports even more than in ordinary ones.

A helmet is not really optional when doing anything that will go fast or high. Keeping the brain protected is just good sense even when doing something that is inherently dangerous. If the brain is not functioning at the end of the run, how will the sportsman be able to enjoy victory? In this post we writing about skating organization that’s trying to build a friendship and respect among skateboarders and authorities.
Organization name is J.L.U.S. what stand for “Just Let Us Skate”.

Organization was created by Joshua Bennett, single skater thats trying to change relationship of skateboarders and authorities and create some kind of a bond, bond of respect. We all knows that this relationship was always on the edge, caps don’t like skaters / skaters don’t like caps. Thats the way it was, but maybe J.L.U.S. succeed to change something.

Everybody knows that skateboarding is a sport, extreme sport to many indeed, but to skateboarders its way of life, core of the lifestyle. Crucial difference between this two types of guns: airsoft guns shot plastic BBs and paintball guns shot paintballs. This is THE difference, but we cant forget what is inside of those guns, their mechanisms are totally different also.

Lets start with looking into paintball gun: they use either compressed CO2 or regular compressed air. It’s a quite simple mechanism. But it’s another story with airsoft guns… They use gear boxes, electric motors, batteries… Its look like lots stuff is needed to fire a simple plastic sphere.

Inside of an automatic electric airsoft gun is interesting indeed. A number of gears are turned by small electric motor. This part of mechanism is used to cock back a big plunger/spring, which is used to compress air in a airtight chamber. When compressed air reach a certain pressure, a release valve is opened, this allows air under a big pressure to propel out the plastic BB. This process happens very fast and allows airsoft guns to fire around 15 shots per second.

Also, few more airsoft guns type exists. Most popular and notably is airsoft sniper rifle. Sniper rifles are manually cocked, single shot airsoft guns. They don’t have gears inside. They are not for “trigger easy” people, since you need to manually cock mechanism before every shot, but their advantage is superb accuracy and high velocity of BBs.

Paintball guns function on a similar way, with air thank filed with compressed air or CO2. Most common is CO2, since its more powerful (more pressure on the same cubage). Its also last longer then plain compressed air. Most of paintball guns are semi-automatic, which is disadvantage comparing to fully-automatic airsoft guns. Bot types of guns have a similar problem: paintball guns need to refill their gas thanks, and electric airsoft guns need to change their batter fairly oftern.

In the game, main difference is that paintballs leave visible mark of color on the hit place. On the other hand, BBs don’t leave any mark (beside pain) so player have moral obligation to yell “hit” if he’s shot by another player. Small but very important thing.

Game tactics are pretty much the same, used terrain is similar, urban (towers, bunkers, buildings, etc.) and rural (forest, fields, etc.) Since both types of guns fire their ammunition at the same speed (FPS) they are both safe to play indoors and outdoors.

Conclusion: if you wanna mark your opponents with a large paint mark, and cause them fair amount of pain (if needed equipment is not worn) then you should chose paintball. But, if you wanna get trigger happy and fire more then 15 shots per sec, pouring storm of BBs on your foes, then you should try airsoft. Also, price of paintball ammunition is fairly bigger then plastic BBs. My opinion: try them both, and see what type of ammunition you prefer to fly over your head

Anyone should know cautionary tales of airsoft guns. Tales about eye damage or blindness caused by airsoft pellets because lack of protective equipment (eyewear mostly). If you plan to wield with airsoft guns you should know that you need to take proper precaution so you don’t end with serious injuries as are chipped teeth or serious eye injury and so your experience of airsoft is completely safe.

You should pay attention to some simple steps to make your shooting experience safer and more joyful. First check your surrounding to make sure that there are no undivided people there. Remember that when you fire your airsoft gun bbs don’t always end there where you expecting them. BBs are light so they usually don’t have power to pierce many objects, so they ricochet back in all directions. You cant see airsoft bb coming because they travel at speed over 150 fps (feet per second), so you will never know until its to late.

Remember to wear some type of protection for eyes when you are using airsoft gun at any location. Also, if you participate in airsoft wargames make sure that you never take down your face (eye protection). Your protection (mask, protective goggles, etc.) can get foggy and uncomfortable but if you remove them you risk temporary or even permanently blindness or some expensive dental visit. Airsoft (as any other) guns can misfire and injuries are quite possible. Be aware.

If you get injured by airsoft weapon, you should visit your doctor or nearest emergency room at once. Possible eye injuries can educe further damage if they are not treated immediately.

Mayor warning: never and under any circumstances let your child to use airsoft gun without your supervision. Possibility of greave injuries are known as result of children play with airsoft guns. Avoid this type of injuries in two ways: make sure that your children are introduced with all dangers of using of this kind of weapon or making sure that they never use it without your guidance.

Your first game? Paintball is a game for everybody. All types and ages. Before you go out and play your first game, there are some things to know that will really help your first experience be a great one!

What to wear? Wear old dark clothes. Wear comfortable sneakers or boots. Don’t wear good jewelry, it can be lost or damaged.

Does it hurt? If you’re hit by a paintball it does hurt a bit, but most people will confirm that after the first hit, pain is rarely an issue.

On the field: Take time to watch other games before you start. Watch how they play and how they move. When you start, begin slowly, don’t over do yourself. It doesn’t take too long for you to get comfortable with the game.

A few rules of thumb: Never remove your mask and goggles when you are on the field, even if you are hit. If you are eliminated call “OUT” as loud as you can and raise your hands and marker above your head, so other players can see that you are out.

Paintball Dictionary

Barrel Plug/Sock – An object that fit in the tip of the barrel to prevent a paintball from discharging out of the marker. Should be in place off the field.

Bunkered or Bunkering – When one player close up on an opponent and shot (marks) him at point blank range. This is a prohibited tactic

Blind Shooting – Prohibited tactic of firing in a game. When a paintball player shoots around or above an object bunker without his or her body being behind the marker.

Capture the Flag – Game that is most widely played at paintball fields. Goal is to capture flag that is located in the center or at different (each) corners of the field. Teams should capture the flag and bring it to their own starting position (some times goal is to hang flag to opponents starting position)

Elimination (dead match ) – Game in which goal is to battle two teams until everyone on one team is eliminated.

Marker – A paintball gun, used for marking players (long time ago, it was used to mark cattle on great USA ranches).

Paintball – Sphere shaped gelatin capsule filled with colored vegetable oil with range from caliber 68 to 69.9 in size. You can wash it off with soap and water. Its also biodegradable

Elbow – Plastic part of marker that connects the hopper with the feed tube on markers.

Hopper – A paintball container that can hold 200 or less paintballs. It fits on top of the marker.

Chronograph – Device that is used to measure the speed of the paintball shot from a marker.

CO2 / Carbon Dioxide – Gas used in most markers to propel the paintball.

Mask – Face shield worn by players for eyes, nose, ears, and mouth protection from a hit.
MASK SHOULD BE WORN AT ALL TIMES ON THE FIELD.

Fogging – Inside mask condition when the lens overheat while playing. Reduce visibility of the player.

Thermal Lens – Double lens with locked air inside. Air keeps lenses from fogging in fierce encounters.

Neck Guard – A neoprene piece that covers the neck and throat protecting them from paintballs.

Snap Shooting – Widely used paintball technique. Snap is when a player snaps out quickly from the cover of their bunker, fire few shots and quickly snaps back behind the cover.

Squeegee – Must have piece of equipment for all. Its a barrel cleaner in the shape of a cable or stick or with a cloth (sometimes discs) to clean build ups or paint in it.

Referee: Don’t argue with referees, its not nice. The referees are there to keep the game safe and fun.

Paint Check –  All players can call for a paint check. Then a referee checks to see if player is marked by a paintball.

Splatter / Spray – Its an result of a paintball hit on an object in front or to side of you. It is normal to have large amounts of spray on you during fierce battles. Splatter don’t count as a hit.

Direct gain from parkour is that enhances your ability to move from place to place. This is actually the essence of the parkour, efficiently moving from one place to another. You become aware that there are multiple paths from one place to another, which would not be generally noticed before, and your ability to use all of these possible will be increased. Parkour can also be used as a self-defense because it make you faster than you possible attacker, you could gain distance in the blink of an eye.

Another benefit of a parkour is physical gain. Parkour using and exercises every part of your body, also every technique and movement include your whole body, giving you incredible exercise. It combines short intensive activity with long periods of gentle exercise, thus increasing both strength and endurance.

Mental side of the parkour should not be forgotten as well. For a pakour is important that you must learn to assess the situation on the go, on your own. The more you train parkour, the more you learn to believe your decisions, because when you exercise your parkour, your estimate is only what is really important.

In the same way, parkour helps you win the daily fear. Actively seeking an exit from a situation where you feel the fear in the way of forcing your to pass through it.

Once you learn how to cope with this fear, it can be applied to any situation and the result is to increase your confidence.

Parkour is exercised outdoors, because the whole point is that you can deal with situations that exist in real life and then to parkour trainee must be free of any inconvenience, fear and shame because we behave differently. When parcor become more accepted, the problem about that will decrease and then some of the very essence of PK-a will probably be lost, but again the question whether the parkour will ever be another common thing.

Parkour also require for you to take responsibilitys for your actions, and therefore encourages independence. Parcor is totally against the ‘culture of that society has imposed’ that developed over the years. Parcor involves risks that most people would not dare, but since you are doing that voluntarily, you can’t blame anyone and you expect someone to take responsibility for your actions.

Parkour makes you feeling good and being satisfied with yourself. Basically its because your personal success. By taking full responsibility for your actions, you also accept all the credit for your successes without taking something from anyone else.

Parkour also gives you a feeling of freedom, because trough learning of parkour you remove some restrictions that society placed there. Your mind opens for new possibilities.

I tried to give answers to some of frequently asked questions. I hope that it will be useful. If anybody has a better answer to some of those questions feel free to note that in the comments below this article.  I must stress that these are my personal responses and thoughts, not official position of the parkour community.

Q: What is parkour?
A: Skill of efficient movement using just your own mind and body

Q: Is it swimming or climbing (climbing) parkour?
A: No. These are already established sports that usually has their own sets of rules. Parkour is almost exclusively based on land moving and except for efficiency and common sense of security should not have a default or  particular rules or norms. Swimming, climbing, etc., however, can be trained in the spirit of Parkour, but even then its are not a parkour.

Q: Can you link acrobatic stunts with parkour?
A: No. Acrobatics does not belong to the efficient movement. Many people like to include acrobatic  in their training but acrobatics alone has nothing to do with parkour.

Q: Are jumps from building to building or move across rooftops parkour?
A: No. Extreme cases of these developments may appear in films but generally people practicing parkour believe that these senseless folly, and not very practical thing considering that 99% of my life for a man spends on non-roof, thus it’s logical to adjust your parkour training environment to that surrounding. So, ground-level and non-catastrophic heights/distances only.

Q: Who or what is a traceur?
A: It is very difficult to answer that question today in the time of global parkour phenomenon. During first steps of  parkour raising, raise a question is someone become traceur from his first training or this title comes with time and experience. There is no definite answer, but personally I think that is enough to call a man by his name or nickname, the “traceur” title is more for ego or to explain the “culture” of Parkour.

Q: Is there something like parkour culture / style / trick?
A: No. Parkour is essentially simple, and requires maximum simplicity and avoiding unnecessary. People who practice the parkour seek to always have high standards in everything they do, that all their work could serve as example to others in any aspect. The goal of Parkour is to find simplicity in itself, relieve the unnecessary burden, not to ask one more scene for themselves or others.

Q: What would be the parkour philosophy or teaching?
A: Whatever you want to be. Parkour does not impose rigid standards of the actions and thoughts and therefore man has the freedom to be spiritual guides in whatever way he think its appropriate. Often it is precisely this freedom of Parkour in the same thime his greatest fault, two-edged sword. Parkour is supposed to be one of many things in this world in which man can enjoy and through which he can perform and improve himself. Yet another perspective, another way of looking at ourselves and the world around us. So choose for yourself what you want out of Parkour, and what you want from yourself.

Q: Can I beside parkour train something else, and will this additional something improve my parkour?
A: Of course you can, but keep in mind two things. The human body is a very complex system and you have to very carefully organize your training, because otherwise you will just create imbalance. Another important thing for you to know is that the best exercise for parkour is parkour itself. If you are not satisfied with your the results, first evaluate how realistic your goals are, and can you organize your practice better and be more patient.

Q: Will acrobatics improve my parkour (the sense of coordination)?
A: No. Roughly speaking, coordination is our ability to coordinate an organize movement of our limbs and interact with the objects around us. Acrobatics develop sense of the body primarily in relation to the natural position in space which is not one of the most important things for parkour (is hard to imagine the movement of parkour in which you are turn upside down). Acrobatics strengthens the body and strong body can only be a plus for parkour but there is no better substitution for the training of parkour then parkour training.

Q: What is the matter between freerun/3run/parkour/lart du déplacement?
A: These things can never be one. It is true that they are very similar but in fact they are different views on human movement. There is no better or worse skills because they are all different from one another and unique in their own way. Just keep in mind to always respect the skill  which you practice  and always respects hard work and skill of others.

Q: Is the parkour dangerous or extreme skill?
A: No. Maybe it’s a bit unusual skill, but parkour is dangerous only to the point on which we are ready a danger ourselves, not more, not less. Overall, there is an element of risk everywhere, even in simple walk down the street, it is not that we do not know how to value and appreciate life, but parkour should always be within the limits of safe. The goal is to perfect ourselves to the physical and mental plain, to gain control over our fears.

Q: Is it better to train in group or alone?
A: Both variants have advantages and disadvantages. For beginners it is better to train with someone so they would not let that ignorance and inexperience led the beginner in an awkward situation. For non-beginners, you should have the measure in all things. If you always train in a group is difficult to perceive yourself and you often “fall” in the group “standards”. If you train all by yourself, with time you will feel loneliness and melancholy. Also, people are often “braver” in the group and they think a lot about how you will look like, whether can do what others can. These are unnecessary thoughts, but battling with them will over time strengthen your spirit.

Q: Are the saut de chat / king kong / monkey vault moves in parkour, or whether there are “moves” in parkour?
A: No. In its origin and early stage in parkour did not exist so called “techniques” because we didn’t need them, it was enough to give yourself the starting and the finish points of movement. There are some forms that have proven to be effective for certain type of obstacles that are frequently encountered, or to strengthen the body in certain way, but you shouldn’t see them as a standard. Parkour is a way of countless movements and forcing them in some type of  ”standards” represents a departure from efficiency (thus from Parkour).

Q: Rain, snow, city, nature?
A: Always and everywhere!!!
